Motorex 2009
Saturday 11th - Sunday 12th July 2009
What a fantastic weekend. I had the best time.
Thanks to Tim for organising a super display for "The GT Club" and to all the members that crawled arond and taped the checkers and posts down and generally contributed to a fantastic effort to make our club shine, and it did shine did it not ?
The events are getting easier as more and more members are puting their hands up and volunteering help. I am so proud of you guys. Thankyou so much.
Congrats to "Flynnie" (Peter) what a fantastic car. Full credit to him for the painstaking diligance he has displayed in getting the car just right.
Tim had detailed and paint dabbed this car during its rebuild and gave it a freshen up last week to make sure it was spot on. After the Bruce Mcphee weekend.
Peter left it up to Tim to display the car how he saw fit and wow it was a fantastic display winning best restored car at Motor-ex 2009 well done peter and Tim.
Peter in aknowledgement of Tims efforts and skill is splitting the prize money with Tim. What a nice guy and appreciative of the level that this resto has been taken to.
Channel TVS Gasoline also did a shoot on our display and cars so watch out for it , coming soon.
And guys thanks for the help again in setting up but moreso the packing up. We were a well oiled machine and we got in and got it done no whining or bullshit. Everyone did thier fair share.
There will be plenty of pics not just from me so enjoy The GT Club's display at Motor-ex. Video of our display coming soon.
Disco took "BILL" out for his maiden display and he was inundated with show goers keen to see for themselves what an unrestored car well loved looks like.
