Berry
Well what a day, as Rob said it was a real relaxing and enjoyable run today.
The cooler weather happened to be ideal for driving our old muscle cars and the big Cleveland just lapped it up today.
We all met up at Uncle Leo's where about a dozen odd cars showed, sadly a poor turnout from the AMCC. However the doubtful weather may have contributed. We did however had a nice VN Group A and also the one and only Brock Monza turn up for the run.
Unfortunately our VP Bob had some issues with his Phase II today, the fuel pump and coil need to be looked at but nothing major. The pour old HO had to return home.
Anyway we went ahead and travelled in convoy. Might I add, how refreshing it is to go on a cruise where all the cars actually stick together.
We all followed each other most of the way, the cruise drove thru some very scenic towns and was one of the most relaxing drives I have ever enjoyed in my Falcon.
A great photo/video opportunity presented itself on the bridge just before Kangaroo Valley, Rob did the honors of going up ahead and taking footage of us crossing. Thanks for that Rob.
We picked up Brett and Frank just going into Berry and met up with Terry at the club waiting there in his trusty XW GT.
Once we exchanged pleasantries and admired machinery, we headed into the bowling club for a lovely lunch and desert.... all washed down with some cool amber ales!
Outside for a breather and more talking and perving on cars with some lovely photo opportunities. For Car of the Run John and Mandy with their gorgeous XY GT Tribute took out the trophy and most deserving it was, well done John & Mandy.
Afterwards some ventured for a walk to the nearby shops and cafe's in Berry, I have to say what a lovely little town with a very relaxed country atmosphere.
Once we returned to our cars, Rob, Toby and myself convoyed back down the freeway where there was a little bit of traffic just at Kiama. Overall a very smooth and enjoyable run.
Thanks to all that attended! Really looking forward to our next major event being the Dec 14th Christmas Party.
